Penny Lane, Annie Hall, Pamela Des Barres, Lana Del Rey, Cher, Stevie Nicks, Jax Teller, Carrie Bradshaw… They were all in my mind on my recent trip to the States. Its true what they say about surroundings influencing you. I couldn’t help be influenced when picking out what to wear each day, white dresses in LA, denim in the south and slick lines in New York.

Travel for me is never really about shopping. I hate retail at the best of times, but I did make a few quality purchases along the way that I think perfectly sum up my itinerary. American Gold Jack & Dean tunic bought from Planet Blue in Santa Monica, cream lace strapless dress bought from some random store in San Diego, denim dress from H&M in Phoenix, Cripple Creek hat and tooled leather saddle bag from Sedona in Arizona, navy lace Calvin Klein bra after a win in Las Vegas, over-sized straw hat and striped trousers from Zara on the upper west side, NYC and vintage bronze necklace from a vintage store in Soho.
