The perfect camel coat
Winter is coming…. for me at least. As of Monday I’ll be in Shanghai, then London, then who knows. Either way, it’s going to get colder and colder. Much colder than I’ve probably ever experienced before. My days of swimming in a pool on New Year’s Eve are long gone. Instead, I’m set to be freezing in the snow in Berlin. As such, I’m strategically planning my winder wardrobe. High waisted wool pants, cashmere knit, checkered scarf, water-proof parka. Oh and the perfect camel coat. The type that feels like your wrapped up in a blanket but makes you look like a million bucks – as Into the Gloss
perfectly worded recently.
Clockwise: Mulberry Blanket wool camel coat, Burberry Brit wool and camel coat, Stella McCartney bryce coat, Zara coat with large lapel, Aspesi Coat
While I’d love to invest in the perfect Burberry item, the cost-effective pull of Shanghai and its talented tailors are too much to bare. In addition to some snazzy suits, I think I’m going to commission the perfect camel coat. But what would that look like do you think? Big collar or small mandarin one? Wrap around, single breasted, or double? Oversized or fitted? I think the pretty miss above in the black turtle neck has the right idea. Hopefully whatever I end up with will make me look rich, without the price tag.
