Let’s get in the car and just drive. In leather pants and velvet coats. The music blaring and the windows all the way down. The Mamas and the Papas play and we sing in unison before we pull over at a truck stop for a cherry coke. We buy a pair of cheap sunglasses just for fun, and a post card with ‘keep trucken’ on it. We pull out as fast as possible and zoom off into the sunset. I lean over on the dashboard, the wind in my hair. There’s no where I’d rather be. Just us and the open road.
